Here are some hints to help you create better crossword puzzles:
- Try to add as many words to the puzzle as you can. Not all of them may be used in the finished puzzle.
- In some cases, words can never be fit in a crossword puzzle, if they do not share any letters. For
instance, you cannot create a crossword from HAT and SNIP, because they cannot intersect.
- Include a variety of words in the puzzle. If all of the words are short, it will be difficult to include
all of them in the puzzle because of space constraints and crossword rules.
- Only letters and certain other symbols are allowed. If you are having trouble entering symbols such as
ė in the word list, you may need to alter your language settings. Not all languages are supported
by EclipseCrossword.
You can also change the settings in the Options window. Some of these options can drastically improve
the quality of puzzles produced.
